Strip-down for body and paint preparation

The latest six photographs show the Capri being stripped down to start preparing the car for bodywork and paint. Exterior fittings and interior trim are being removed, and the empty engine bay gives us access to the areas that need preparation before painting.

THE DIRECTION

Heritage, with a different heartbeat.

The confirmed build specification combines a period-correct rebuilt Ford 3.0-litre V6 with the period-style 3.0-litre centre-bulge bonnet. Ford Imperial Green metallic flake, a black bonnet and clean black side stripes give the car its distinctive finish. Single rectangular headlamps, polished chrome and a period-inspired interior retain the classic Capri character. This is a heritage restomod conversion, not a factory-original 3.0-litre car.

Next stages

  1. Complete the V6 installation and drivetrain integration
  2. Fit and finish the centre-bulge bonnet and Imperial Green paintwork
  3. Complete the period-inspired interior, assembly and mechanical checks
  4. Carry out road testing and final handover preparation
